Yes. In Alberta, an electrical permit is legally required for virtually all electrical work, including new installations, upgrades, alterations, and additions to existing systems. The primary exception is replacing an existing device or fixture with the same type of device or fixture. We handle the permitting and inspection process for every project, ensuring the work is completed safely and in compliance with current electrical code.
The actual panel upgrade is usually completed in a single day. However, obtaining permits and coordinating with the utility company for the required power disconnect and reconnect typically takes 1–2 weeks. We handle all of that coordination for you and provide a clear outage window well in advance, so you can plan accordingly.
Yes, absolutely. Many homeowners choose to handle their own trenching to help reduce project costs. We’re happy to provide the required depth, layout, and safety requirements beforehand. As long as the trench meets current code requirements, we can take it from there.
Yes. We regularly work with general contractors, builders, and other trades on renovation and new construction projects. If you're managing your own renovation, we can work directly with you as well and help guide the electrical portion of the project to keep everything moving smoothly.
We stand behind our work with a 2-year labour warranty, in addition to any manufacturer warranties on the products we install. If there's an issue related to our installation, give us a call and we'll make it right.
